Making mouthwatering grilled burgers that will delight your friends and family is easier than you think! It only takes a few ingredients and house made beef from Best Meats Butcher Shop to host a dinner party your guests will remember forever.
Ingredients (8 servings):
- 2 pounds of ground beef (80/20)
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¾ cup dry breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 slices of thick-cut cheddar cheese
- 8 hamburger buns buttered inside
Ingredients (8 servings):
- Start by preparing all of your add-ons and sauces. Your choices are endless, but the trick is having many choices. For example, adding two slices of tomatoes and a healthy dollop of sauce on each bun will add incredible juiciness to your burger.
- Fire up the grill. Your grill should be set for high heat.
- Use a large bowl to combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and minced garlic.
- Divide the beef into 8 balls. Flatten each into a patty with a small divot in the middle of each. The divot collects juices and keeps the patty from puffing up on the grill.
- Grill your burgers for 4-5 minutes per side. Since every grill is different, the only accurate way to know if your burgers are done is to measure their internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Burgers should reach 160°F at their thickest parts. Add a slice of cheese to each patty when flipped over.
- While the burgers are on the grill, grill the buns with the buttered sides down. Toasting the buns will keep the bread from absorbing all the juice.
- When the burgers are done, collect all the patties and buns for assembly.
- Start putting the burgers together by putting sauce on each of the buns. Then, place your desired add-ons on the bottom bun. Set the grilled burger on top of the add-ons and cover with the top bun. Slice in half if desired.
